Why Choose Imaging Illusions?
I know you have a lot of options when deciding to have your professional portraits done, and considering quality and cost are important factors. When you hire me, we will start with a photo session that will typically last between 1 - 3 hours, although there is no set time limit (packages for high school seniors and weddings differ). I will shoot until you are satisfied! In addition, there are the options of unlimited clothing changes, multiple poses, different backgrounds, locations (within 10 miles of Melrose), and props. I will likely shoot between 100-200 photos. Artistic skill and "beyond-basic" retouching of your best photos are included in the session fee. These kinds of touch-ups include color correction, lighting adjustments, cropping, minor blemish removal, eliminating facial shine, minor airbrushing, and stray hair removal. Black and white, sepia (brown tones) and low color enhancements are also included for no additional fee!
The digital portraits I create for you will be professionally processed on Kodak Lustre Endura Paper (standard), which has a life expectancy of 100 years, and up to 200 years if kept in dark storage. For an additional fee, you also have the option of having your portraits printed on Kodak Metallic Endura Paper, which gives your portraits a considerable 3-D effect, which you need to see to believe (I have samples to show you)! You can also choose to have your larger portraits printed on canvas, for a very impressive, beautiful, elegant effect!

I also offer many other unique services for photo editing and enhancing, and as my business name indicates, I love to create Imaging Illusions! Advanced photo editing is available in the following ways; image manipulation, extensive blemish removal, teeth whitening, braces removal, head swap, eye switch, remove tan lines, give you a tan or change your skin tone, soften the image, add designer edges and soft glows, apply a filtered effect (like the charcoal drawing effect on the first picture), add creative coloring or spot coloring to black and white or sepia images, create photo collages, green screen work, adding text, and creating custom designed holiday cards, birth and graduation announcements, and thank you cards. I am willing to try anything else you might want or suggest! The possibilities available with digital photography are truly amazing! I am always happy to work with you so that you get the exact photo you want.

Photo Greeting Cards
I can also custom design greeting cards for you using photos taken during our photo session, or using photos you may already have. They can be done with a single photo or as a photo collage. These cards can be created for any event or occasion you can think of: holiday, birthdays, invites, birth announcements, thank you cards, graduation announcements (add a baby picture for a fun effect), anniversary party invites/announcements, thank you cards, and the list goes on . . .

Working with Your Existing Pictures
I can also usually apply the same editing techniques as described above to any existing photos you have! For example, if you took 10 good pictures of your child's birthday party, but don't want to take up the space of 10 photos in your album, I can make mini-collages and do some fun editing to them to suit your needs. I can do photo enhancements and editing on digital prints you may have on your camera's memory card, or by taking hard copies of your pictures and scanning them in.

Old Photo Restoration
Do you have any old family photos, maybe heirlooms, that you love, but that might be torn, cracked, scratched, etc? In most cases, these old prints can be restored to a beautiful portrait! Contact me to set up a consultation to see what we can do.

Any photo can also be given a fun spin, by putting it on a t-shirt, coffee mug, mouse pad, tote bag, puzzle, magnet, photo pin, or a whole calendar worth of pictures!

Get to the prices already! I've done my best to set my prices according to the fair marketable rates in the surrounding area, from Alexandria to St. Cloud. Many others do not offer the "beyond-basic" touch-ups that I include in the session fee. I also feel I have an edge over competitors because of my ability and willingness to go above and beyond to make just the right portrait for you, whether that is making a collage of your own photos, or creating a lasting family portrait for your living room. Again, as my name indicates, I love to make fun "Illusional" pictures too!
